About the Classroom 8-Hour Driver Improvement Course-

Pre-registration and full $99.00 payment is required 48-hours prior to the start of the classroom course. We will not accept walk in students or payments at the testing location. No exceptions, thank you for your compliance. Classroom size limitations may impact availability.

Saturday Hours Only: 8:30am-5pm EST (1/2 hour lunch break only) No enrollment at this time. Upcoming date TBD. Class size limit up to 30 students. We do our best to update the site about availability.

Govt. Issued ID is required on the day of the clinic. If you do not bring the Govt. Issued ID to the testing site, you can not participate in the clinic-no refunds will be issued. If you show up late, you will not be able to participate- no refunds will be issued. If you do not finish the full 8-hour classroom course, you will not receive a certificate- no refunds will be issued. Inclement weather date TBD as needed.

This course is designed to educate and enlighten drivers about the importance of defensive driving and to teach defensive driving techniques in vehicular collision avoidance and prevention.

Prior to the issuance of a certificate of completion ALL students must complete the 8 -full hours of instruction, excluding meals & breaks.

The driver improvement course and final test must be completed on site through a DMV-Licensed driver improvement clinic. Driver's EDge, LLC is a DMV Licensed 8-hour driver improvement clinic.

The Classroom driver improvement clinic course is an eight-hour course, including the final test, and is designed to rehabilitate problem drivers. The course must be completed in it's entirety prior to the issuance of a certificate of completion. Course available in English only. To maximize the benefits of this course, it is optimal if attendees can understand, speak, read and write in English.

Student identification will be verified throughout training and prior to taking the final test to ensure that the person taking the course is the same person taking the final test. All Students must provide a current VA Driver's License (DMV-assigned customer number).

All students are required to provide a *Reason Code for attending the classroom driver improvement clinic. Customers directed by the Court must provide documentation from the court before safe driving points can be awarded.

The certificate of completion will be provided to all individuals upon successful completion of the 8-hour classroom course. This is the ONLY document that will be accepted by the Department and the Courts as proof of completion of the 8-hour driver improvement clinic.

DMV will not accept any certificates that have been altered in any way.
